The South Korean Ministry of Unification (MoU) on Thursday told NK News that their server is safe and has not been showing any abnormal signs, contrary to reports by a South Korean newspaper earlier in the day.

Kyunghyang Shinmun, the South Korean newspaper which claimed that the MoU had been compromised, has not responded to an email inquiry by NK News.

“The Ministry of Unification’s server is safe, and is not hacked,” an MoU official, who wished to remain anonymous, told NK News over the phone on Thursday afternoon.
