Humanitarian agencies in the DPRK are asking for $28.2 million in funding to help with reparations for the North’s flood-hit regions, according to a UN press release published on Monday.

The UN’s Humanitarian Country Team in North Korea also issued an emergency response plan detailing support for over 600,000 people in North Hamgyong province.

Current tallies of fatalities stand at 138 people killed and over 400 missing. The UN press release adds that more than 69,000 people have been displaced from 30,000 destroyed houses.
