Pyongyang said it has other dialogue partners than Seoul, a statement published on Friday by the nation’s news agency reads, indicating a potential diplomatic transition towards China.

The statement, released by the spokesperson of the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, was 1,500 words long and filled with criticism against South Korean President Park Geun-hye’s June 15 speech, as well as justification for its nuclear program.

“If Park Geun-hye keeps insisting on not to sitting face to face with us, we are thinking we would rather not continue requesting conversations with her,” the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) article said.
