North Korea may have resumed the reprocessing of plutonium at the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center – its primary nuclear facility – the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday.
According to the IAEA – the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog – there is evidence to suggest that North Korea may once again be reprocessing spent nuclear fuel into plutonium, or making preparations to do so, at the site in North Phyongan Province.
