North Korea’s foreign policy head arrived in Beijing on Tuesday, the first time a high-ranking Pyongyang official visited China since the January nuclear test.

Ri Su Yong headed to Beijing to report the results from the 7th Party Congress to China, Kyodo News Agency reported from Pyongyang. He will stay in Beijing until June 2.

A meeting with Xi Jinping is not yet confirmed, but Ri will meet the Chinese head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party, Song Tao, according to a Jiji Press report.
