A Russian oil tanker recently arrived in North Korea’s Nampho port, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Monday, in what appears to be a rare delivery to North Korea from a foreign owned tanker.

The KCNA report entitled “Foreign Crewmen Meet” said that two ship’s crews had recently met in Nampho on the DPRK’s west-coast.

“Foreign crewmen held a meeting at Nampho Port on February 14 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il. The participants laid a floral basket before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in Nampho City and paid tribute to them,” the article said.
