North Korean state media criticized U.S. President Barack Obama’s Strategic Patience policy on Thursday, saying he should have realised it was an error prior to the nuclear test.

In an editorial entitled “The demise of Strategic Patience” published by the Rodong Sinmun, North Korea cites the policy as one of the reasons for conducting the nuclear test.

“The H-Bomb test was our answer to U.S.’s wrongful judgement based on Strategic Patience,” it reads.

“Since 2009, the Obama administration has been adapting Strategic Patience, the kind of policy that was to refuse all communication with us and keep on raising sanctions against us
