A South Korean media analyst said Tuesday that Kim Jong Un is appearing in North Korean state media at much more frequent rates than his father or grandfather.

Experts specializing in North Korean media gathered at the Seoul Museum of Arts to discuss the correlation between leadership and media. The academic event is affiliated with the exhibition of the 70th Anniversary of Liberation Day, commemorating the Korean Peninsula’s liberation from Japanese colonization.

Byun Young-wook, photojournalist from Dong-A Ilbo, said that analysis of 50 years of North Korean newspaper the Rodong Sinmun says much about Kim Jong Un’s leadership style.
