North Korea is facing its worst drought in 100 years, a report in the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Tuesday.

The article details a number of areas within the country’s “bread basket,” which have been greatly affected and could have drastic effects on the level of food production North Korea is able to achieve this year.

“The worst drought in 100 years continues in the DPRK causing great damage,” the KCNA article reads.

“Water level of reservoirs stands at the lowest, while rivers and streams getting dry.”
