Frankly, planning my work or indeed my life has never been my forte. North Korea is not a specialism for the anal-obsessive, or even the moderately self-organized. Planned economy be damned. They tell you next to nothing – and you never know what they’re going to do next.

But this month is different. Suddenly, April in and around Pyongyang bristles with what we hacks pray for: Known events. Some are regular, but most aren’t. And they’re all very varied.
