South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Monday urged North Korea to reform, as part of remarks made during the first meeting of the Presidential Committee of Unification Preparation in 2015.

Park also called for North Korea to engage in inter-Korean talks without preconditions following an offer for dialogue issued by South Korea in January.

“North Korea should quickly take the path to reform and dialogue by recognizing the wave of change, not ignoring it,” Park said during the meeting.

“We have continuously urged the North to come to the negotiation table for dialogue without preconditions, but it has yet to do so,
