N. Korea sets restrictions for Chinese traders

Pyongyang looks to squeeze revenue from visitors by limiting accommodation options

North Korea may be moving to squeeze more revenue from Chinese traders who come to their country to do business, Radio Free Asia reported Tuesday.

Under the new rules, Chinese traders with relatives in the North are only allowed to stay with those relatives for 15 days during one visit per year, the agency reported, quoting sources in the North’s provinces bordering China.
