An American non-governmental organization is planning to provide an educational workshop with North Korean medical professionals at the Pyongyang TB (tuberculosis) Training Center, scheduled to open about mid-May.

According to the Christian Friends of Korea (CFK), the center is slated to open in May, and it expects to hold a two-day workshop for primary care physicians.

The number of participants from North Korea is not yet determined, and CFK expects that four lab/medical experts from the U.S., as well as colleagues from the Central TB Prevention Hospital, will participate together in delivering the workshop.

The Pyongyang TB Training Center has
