In a rare visit, the head of South Korea’s state-run railway company is scheduled to arrive in Pyongyang Tuesday to attend a meeting with the Organization for Co-Operation between Railways (OSJD), Yonhap reported on Monday.

President and CEO of the South’s Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) Choi Yeon-hye, along with four other officials, is reported to have arrived Beijing on Monday to obtain visas from the North Korean embassy. The group will then continue to Pyongyang, possibly by train.

The OJSD, a union of 27 mostly Eurasian member states, was established in 1957 as an equivalent to the Western International Union
