North Korea has completed and opened a water park in the eastern city of Hamhung, state media outlet Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday.

According to the news report, the water park “covers tens of thousands of square meters on the bank of the River Songchon”.

The report also says that the park comes equipped with a “slide tower, several slides, indoor swimming pool, indoor wading pool and service, amusement and sports facilities”.

“The appearance of the water park will contribute to the cultural and emotional life of the workers and other people including schoolchildren in the city,”
