International fashion publication Elle Magazine has cited North Korea’s military attire as a fashion inspiration. Elle’s Creative Director Joe Zee included “North Korea Chic” while spelling out Fall 2013’s  Top Fashion Trends’ in his annual A to Z list.

Below a photo-montage consisting of an AFP/Getty image of a North Korean soldier, a golden high heeled shoe and an image of a luxury brand shop-floor, the fashionista responsible for the ‘N for North Korea’ segment wrote:

“Some iteration of the military trend stomps the runways every few seasons. This time, it’s edgier, even dangerous, with sharp buckles and clasps and
