North Korea marked the 81st anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) on Saturday with a relatively subdued celebration, a year after it held a military parade attended by foreign leaders to celebrate the party’s founding. The highest profile event to mark the occasion was a concert at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un with his daughter and wife, state media reported Sunday. Senior officials from the party, government and military reportedly attended, along with foreign ambassadors and Pyongyang residents. State media did not report on any remarks by Kim.
