Ukraine has transferred two North Korean prisoners of war to South Korea it captured during its incursion into Russia’s Kursk region in early 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Wednesday.

“Recently we sent two North Korean prisoners of war to the Republic of Korea,” he said in a speech about the Ukraine war at the U.N. General Assembly.
