Pyongyang fired off several ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan (East Sea), the South Korean military reported on Saturday. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said that North Korea fired the missiles from an area near Wonsan on its east coast, with the ROK military detecting the launch at 5:20 a.m. KST. The ROK military assessed the short-range ballistic missiles to reach a range of some 155 miles (250 km) before the splashdown. South Korea and the U.S. are currently working on determining further specifications of the launched projectiles, the JCS said in a statement to reporters. Seoul © Korea Risk Group.
