The EU has slapped new sanctions on Russia over its alleged use of North Korea’s international children’s camp to indoctrinate Ukrainian children, following a similar move by the U.K. that resulted in a diplomatic row between London and Pyongyang.

The EU’s new sanctions package primarily targeted Russian entities and individuals over the “unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia” and to the Songdowon International Children’s Camp in North Korea.

The camp is the DPRK’s state-operated institution that “participates in organized programs involving the transfer of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and is coordinated alongside Russia with the
