North Korea slams US over $125M missile sale to South and human rights grants

Pyongyang condemns AIM-9X Sidewinder sale as ‘hostile’ move to fuel instability as Trump continues outreach

North Korea condemned the U.S. on Thursday for selling missiles to the South and for its funding toward documenting human rights abuses, even as President Donald Trump seeks to revive engagement with Pyongyang.

In a statement published by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), a spokesperson for North Korea’s Foreign Ministry denounced Washington’s approval of “the sale of various lethal equipment worth an astronomical sum of money” to Seoul.
