North Korean authorities have imposed entry restrictions on foreigners with a history of travel to 11 African states and France amid a deadly Ebola outbreak that has claimed thousands of lives.

The Russian Union of Travel Industry, an umbrella organization representing tour operators, reported the restrictions Friday, citing its expert Inna Mukhina, who runs the Vostok Intur travel agency organizing trips to North Korea.

The newly introduced restrictions apply to tourists who have previously visited France as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, the Republic of Congo and the Central
