South Korea’s defense ministry on Monday sought to dispel speculation that the military failed to detect North Korea’s June 25 missile launch and said it tracked the projectiles in real time alongside the United States. 

Deputy Ministry Spokesman Lee Kyung-ho told reporters at a regular briefing that South Korean and U.S. forces detected and tracked multiple projectiles fired by North Korea between 7:27 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. on June 25, and that the two militaries coordinated closely to prepare for all contingencies.
