The public security ministers of North Korea and Vietnam discussed strengthening law enforcement cooperation in Pyongyang on Sunday, building on recent efforts to strengthen ties in line with their leaders’ pledges.

North Korean Minister of Public Security Pang Tu Sop and his Vietnamese counterpart Luong Tam Quang shared their countries’ respective “successes and experience” in law enforcement during talks held in “a friendly atmosphere,” the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported Monday.

The two sides, including DPRK Vice Minister Kim Song Nam, also discussed further expansion and development of bilateral exchanges and cooperation, the agency added.
