Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Pyongyang for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Monday, according to Beijing’s state-run Xinhua news agency, officially kicking off his two-day visit.

State media footage showed Xi’s aircraft arriving at Pyongyang’s Sunan International Airport, where a red carpet and DPRK honor guards awaited the Chinese leader on the tarmac.
