Singapore’s top diplomat is scheduled to visit North Korea on Tuesday, two days before talks with his South Korean counterpart in Seoul, according to the city-state’s foreign ministry.

Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is departing for the DPRK following his three-day visit to Beijing, the ministry said in a news release.

The release provided no details about the purpose of the minister’s visit or his itinerary in Pyongyang.

Following the trip to North Korea, Balakrishnan is scheduled to hold talks with ROK Foreign Minister Cho Hyun on Thursday to discuss bilateral cooperation, regional issues including the Middle East and
