A bus carrying around 30 suspected North Korean workers crashed in western Russia on Monday, according to reports.

Police in the city of Nizhny Novgorod confirmed the accident and released photos of the crashed bus, stating that the driver sustained minor injuries and that the passengers were unharmed.

The authorities did not disclose the passengers’ country of origin, stating only that the bus carried “30 foreign citizens.”

But Russian outlets like the government daily Rossiyskaya Gazeta and newspaper Izvestia reported that the passengers were DPRK nationals, following initial reports from major Telegram news channels such as Mash and Shot.
