Australia and South Korea will launch a search for the remains of an Australian soldier missing from the 1950-53 Korean War, according to Seoul’s Defense Ministry, as part of wider efforts to locate and identify those lost in the conflict against North Korea.  

The search for the remains of 30-year-old Cpl. William K. Murphy, who went missing during the 1951 Battle of Gapyeong in Gapyeong County northeast of Seoul, will run from April 27 to May 22, the ministry said in a news release Friday.
