A South Korea-based electric vehicle (EV) association has announced an ambitious plan to hold an international expo in North Korea next year, though experts dismissed the proposal as unrealistic given the deadlock in inter-Korean ties.

A spokesperson for the International e-Mobility Expo Organizing Committee told NK News on Wednesday that the organization plans to propose the idea of holding the expo in the DPRK and using it as an opportunity to expand inter-Korean industrial cooperation.
