South Korea’s spy agency has assessed that it is “appropriate to regard” North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s daughter as his successor, lawmakers said Monday.

The National Intelligence Service (NIS) provided its outlook during a closed-door session for the National Assembly’s Intelligence Committee, which addressed the DPRK’s trajectory since the recent Ninth Party Congress and Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA), as well as the ongoing Iran conflict.
