A newly opened North Korean hospital is using a Chinese-made medical device inside one of its operating rooms, according to NK News analysis, highlighting Pyongyang’s continued reliance on imported medical equipment.

The Chinese Embassy in Pyongyang released photos of Ambassador Wang Yajun’s visit to the Kusong City Hospital on Tuesday, where a high-frequency electrosurgical unit bearing a Chinese company logo was visible next to an operating table. 

Open-source information indicates the device is manufactured by Beijing Beilin Electronics Ltd.

According to the company’s website, Beijing Beilin Electronics specializesin manufacturing high-frequency electrosurgical knives and related accessories. Corporate records from the
