Investigations North Korean doctors illegally working at clinics in Russia and KyrgyzstanRare examples of skilled overseas workers suggests DPRK may be expanding scope of labor export schemes
North Korean practitioners of traditional medicine are working at clinics in Russia and Central Asia, an NK News investigation has found, in what appear to be rare examples of the DPRK exporting skilled labor in violation of U.N. sanctions. In one case, a hospital in Moscow openly advertised the services of a DPRK physician, releasing his full resume on its website and a video featuring him speaking with a North Korean accent. In a second case, a clinic in Kyrgyzstan run by a former DPRK national offers similar offerings from several “Korean” doctors. While the business does not mention their © Korea Risk Group.
