North Korea has requested that Russia provide thousands of tons of crude oil and petroleum products per month, according to a Far East export center, a sign that Pyongyang is feeling the pinch of oil price shocks due to the U.S. war with Iran.

The Vladivostok-based Export Support Center announced a call for fuel suppliers on its Telegram channel on Friday, stating that it did so on behalf of the DPRK Consulate General’s trade and economic department.

According to the center, the DPRK is seeking Russian firms that can provide 1,000 tons per month of both standard grade gasoline (AI-92)
