Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will visit North Korea for the first time at the invitation of leader Kim Jong Un from Wednesday, Minsk has announced.

Lukashenko is expected to visit for two days and hold talks with Kim on a wide range of topics, focusing on determining key areas of mutual interest, according to Lukashenko’s office on Tuesday.

“The upcoming visit is intended to strengthen the legal and treaty framework of relations and to promote more active bilateral cooperation,” the Belarusian leader’s press service said.

His office also said it expects the two leaders to discuss joint projects that
