China’s national carrier Air China is set to resume flights from Beijing to Pyongyang in March for the first time after a six-year hiatus following the resumption of a regular passenger rail service between the countries this week. Currently, Air China’s website offers tickets to Pyongyang starting March 30, and on subsequent Mondays, with the schedule available through October, NK News confirmed. Rowan Beard, a tour manager at Young Pioneer Tours who organizes trips to North Korea, corroborated the resumption date to NK News after confirming it with Air China.
