A Boeing 737-79L (B-5297) operated by the national carrier departed from Beijing Capital International Airport at around 9 a.m. KST and arrived at Pyongyang’s Sunan International Airport at 10:40 a.m, Flightradar24 data shows. China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency confirmed the flight’s departure in a brief report Monday. Air China resumed passenger service to Pyongyang for the first time in six years on Monday, following the suspension of regular flights during the pandemic.

A Boeing 737-79L (B-5297) operated by the national carrier departed from Beijing Capital International Airport at around 9 a.m. KST and arrived at Pyongyang’s Sunan International Airport at 10:40 a.m, Flightradar24 data shows.
