A North Korean delegation of livestock experts visited a cattle operation in China in mid-January, the latest example of Pyongyang seeking to boost its agricultural sector using Chinese technology. 

Led by Kang Yong Guk, the chairman of the Korean Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Technology Association, the delegation visited the Yunnan Huayu Biotechnology in southern China from Jan. 18 to 19, according to a company news release.

The Chinese firm said it showcased its breeding systems, feed production and digital management tools used in large-scale cattle operations. Using real-time monitoring displays, the delegation observed core breeding farms remotely and reviewed
