There will likely be “some new developments” regarding North Korea within the next few days, a senior South Korean government official said Thursday, while dismissing the possibility of renewed U.S.-DPRK diplomacy in the near future.
The unnamed official made the comments to South Korean reporters during ROK Foreign Minister Cho Hyun’s ongoing visit to Washington, without elaborating on what the developments entail.
“It’s nothing grand — more like a gesture of sincerity that could serve as a starting point,” they said, according to Yonhap News Agency.
