News US should send special envoy to North Korea, Seoul’s prime minister saysKim Min-seok says he made proposal after JD Vance asked for advice on how to improve ties with Pyongyang
South Korea’s prime minister has suggested that the U.S. dispatch a special envoy to North Korea to improve relations with Pyongyang, meeting with Vice President JD Vance in Washington. Speaking to news reporters last week, ROK premier Kim Min-seok said the vice president expressed willingness to improve ties with North Korea and asked him for advice. Kim suggested sending a special envoy to North Korea, which he said “was the simplest and most direct single proposal that could be made in response to Vance’s question.” The prime minister told reporters he had suitable candidates in mind but declined to name © Korea Risk Group.
