North Korea has accused South Korea of sending unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into its airspace on at least two occasions since Sept. 2025, claiming the drones surveilled military and other sensitive sites and warning Seoul would “never be able to evade responsibility” for escalating tensions.

Seoul’s defense ministry dismissed the North’s claims, stating that a UAV photographed by the DPRK was “not a model operated by the South Korean military.”
