A sanctioned front company for North Korea’s arms industry is set to begin exporting aphrodisiacs and other traditional medicines to a local Russian firm, NK News analysis of Russian trade declarations show.

The Russian Krasnodar-based Fares-Koryo firm filed a dozen import declarations to procure medicinal and health enhancement goods from North Korea’s Korea Sobaeksu United Corporation late last month, according to Russia’s Federal Service for Accreditation (FSA) records.

Sobaeksu is under U.S. and EUsanctions and is known to operate as a front company for the DPRK’s Munitions Industry Department, an entity designated by the U.N. for its role in
