North Korean foreign minister Choe Son Hui will travel to China from Saturday to Tuesday, carrying on efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries after their leaders’ recent summit.

Her visit comes at the invitation of her counterpart Wang Yi, a spokesperson from Beijing’s foreign ministry announced on Thursday, without giving details about her agenda. 

Choe’s four-day trip follows Kim Jong Un’s visit to Beijing in early September to attend China’s Victory Day celebrations and meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, the two leaders’ first summit in over six years.

Kim’s talks with the Chinese leader and his attendance at
