News Kim Jong Un says he’s open to talks if US discards ‘denuclearization obsession’North Korean leader recalls ‘good memories’ of Donald Trump but insists he will ‘never, ever’ give up weapons
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un declared on Sunday that his country will “never, ever” give up its nuclear weapons but stands ready to discuss “peaceful coexistence” with the U.S. if it “discards its absurd obsession with denuclearization.” In a speech to the DPRK’s rubber-stamp parliament, Kim acknowledged his “good memories” of U.S. President Donald Trump, whom he met three times from 2018-19 to discuss denuclearization steps in exchange for sanctions relief.
