The foreign ministers of the Quad security grouping — the U.S., Japan, Australia and India — condemned North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs and reaffirmed support for Korean Peninsula denuclearization on Tuesday, after leaving out any mention of the issue in a previous statement at the start of Donald Trump’s second term. “We condemn North Korea’s destabilizing launches using ballistic missile technology and its continued pursuit of nuclear weapons in violation of multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions (UNSCRs),” the ministers said in a joint statement, following a meeting in Washington.
