The EU urged China to use its influence to support a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine, singling out North Korea’s military support for Russia’s invasion.

The statement followed the 25th EU-China summit in Beijing on Thursday, where European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. 

“The EU encouraged China to use its influence to support a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, based on the principles of the U.N. Charter. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s supply of troops and arms in support
