The Russian military is burning the faces of North Korean soldiers killed in combat against Ukraine in a bid to obscure their identities and hide their losses, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. 

“Russia not only sends the North Korean troops to storm Ukrainian positions, but also tries to conceal losses of these people,” Zelensky stated on social media on Monday. 

“And now, after the first combat with our warriors, Russians are trying to literally burn the faces of North Korean soldiers killed in battle.”
