Russian government jet makes quick stopover on North Korea’s east coast

Another aircraft arrived in Pyongyang Friday amid increasing flights by Russian government and military planes

A VIP Russian government jet made a quick flight to North Korea’s east coast on Thursday night, aviation data showed, less than a week after Russia’s top security official Sergei Shoigu visited Pyongyang.

Russia’s Special Flight Squadron Tupolev Tu-154 (tail number RA-85843) departed from Vladivostok at around 7:30 p.m. KST on Thursday, switching off its signal at 8:19 p.m. as it flew toward the city of Wonsan, according to tracking services Flightradar24 and FlightAware.
