North Korea launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles (SRBM) “in the northeast direction” on Wednesday morning, South Korea’s military announced.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said North Korea fired the missiles around 6:50 a.m. KST from the area of Kaechon in the western South Pyongan Province.

The military stated in a subsequent update that the missiles flew approximately 250 miles (400 km), but did not provide further details about the projectiles’ flight or how many there were.
