Tour company in talks to send Russian children to summer camp in North Korea

Trip to Songdowon on east coast could take place as early as July, in what would be first since before pandemic

Russian schoolchildren could become the first foreign kids to spend their summer vacation in North Korea since before the pandemic, with talks underway for a group to visit a DPRK children’s camp in the coming months

The Vladivostok-based Vostok Intur, a tour company that organizes trips to North Korea, is in talks with North Korean partners about sending Russian kids to the Songdowon International Children’s Camp for the upcoming summer holiday, the company’s director Inna Mukhina told NK News on Thursday.
