Russian travel company cancels kids tour to North Korea, citing low demand

Rare DPRK tour marketed toward families was supposed to visit kid-friendly attractions to coincide with Children’s Day

A Russian tour company has canceled a trip for children to North Korea due to low demand, after parents previously expressed skepticism about a similar proposal to send Russian kids to DPRK summer camps.

Inna Mukhina, the director of the Vladivostok-based Vostok Intur, told NK News on Thursday that there were “not enough people willing to go” on what appears to have been the first such tour marketed with children in mind.
